Somatic Skills Group with Kelly Gant, MA, LPCC, E-RYT
Tuesdays, May 12 - June 16
6:00-7:00 PM (MDT)
A six-week experiential group for adults who want to understand their nervous system and learn evidence-based tools for working with stress in daily life.
The Dad’s Dilemma:
A 90-minute workshop for dads on fatherhood, burnout,
and breaking the silence with other men.
This is a pay-what-you-can community event. Pay whatever works for you, $0 to $20.
Being a father is the most important thing a lot of us will ever do, and it can also quietly take everything out of you. The bills, the expectations, the worry, the grind of showing up every day when you're already running on empty.
Most dads carry all of that without saying a word about it, because your culture, your race, and what it means to be a man in your community have told you that's what you're supposed to do. You handle it. You keep it to yourself. You figure it out and never appear “vulnerable” or “weak.”
This 90-minute workshop is a chance to try something different and talk honestly about fatherhood and what it takes to do the job. You do not have to say a word if you are not ready. But the tools are there, the resources are there, and so is the chance to be real about how you are actually doing and where to go from here.
This is an adults-only event so that fathers can speak freely. Please arrange childcare before you come. We know that's not always easy. Thank you for making it work.

Daniel spent eight years as a probation officer sitting across from men who were struggling with nowhere to put it. Then he went through some of the hardest years of his own life (loss, divorce, grief, a DWAI) and came out the other side knowing what he wanted to do with it.
A first-generation college graduate, a dad of two, and a youth basketball coach, Daniel returned to clinical work because of what he lived through. His approach is direct while warm, and he's not interested in sugarcoating what fatherhood actually asks of men.
This workshop is an extension of that same commitment to his community and its families.
Daniel Aragon, MFTC works under the clinical supervision of Raphaelle Cuenod, LCSW (CSW.09931319).

A Six-Week Experiential Group with Kelly Gant, MA, LPCC, E-RYT
Tuesdays, May 12 – June 16, 2026 · 6:00–7:00 PM Mountain · Virtual
Stress is something most of us know intimately and understand very little. A lot of that comes down to the nervous system, but most of us have never been introduced to ours.
Your nervous system isn't just "on" or "off." It moves between three states (calm and connected, fight-or-flight, and shutdown) that shape how you think, how you feel, and how you respond to the people and situations around you.
This group is an introduction. Over six weeks, you'll start to “map” your own nervous system, and its patterns, understand why you respond the way you do, and build a set of practical tools (somatic, EMDR-based, and mindfulness practices) you can actually use in daily life. All of it experiential, grounded in current neuroscience, and practiced alongside a small group of people asking the same questions.
No prior experience needed, and all abilities are welcome.
Somatic Skills Group:
Stress, The Body, & How We Heal
-
Session 1 - Welcome
Introductions, group agreements, and an opening practice to take into the week.
Session 2 — Why Your Nervous System Does What It Does
We'll look at what actually happens in the brain during stress and overwhelming experiences, how those responses get wired in over time, and what that means for everyday life.
Session 3 — Body-Based Tools
Some of the most effective ways to shift your nervous system happen through the body, not the mind. We'll explore why that is and try a few practices firsthand, including a Qigong-rooted (“shaking the tree”) practice and a tapping technique for anxiety.
Session 4 — EMDR
EMDR is an evidence-based approach that helps the brain process experiences that got stuck. We'll cover what it is, how it works, and practice a resourcing exercise you can use on your own.
Session 5 — Mindfulness
We'll look at what mindfulness actually is, what it does in the brain, and try a few practices together, including a breath-based meditation and a Savoring or Walking Meditation.
Session 6 — Closing
Takeaways, intentions, and a look at what might support you going forward.

We design our groups for consistency and connection, which means registration is for the full six weeks, and we do not offer drop-in sessions.
We also use a pay-what-you-can model to help minimize the cost barrier. You know your financial situation better than we do, so please choose the rate that honestly reflects it.
Community rate: $180
Suggested rate: $240
Supporting rate: $300 Helps make this group accessible to others who need it.

Kelly Gant has spent 19 years helping people understand and befriend their bodies — first on the yoga mat with professional athletes, veterans, and people living with PTSD or chronic pain, and now as a somatic and EMDR therapist at Centerpoint Healing.
She makes neuroscience approachable and fun; people leave her sessions with things they actually remember and use in “real” life.
She holds an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Naropa University, with a concentration in Mindfulness-Based Transpersonal Counseling. Kelly is an E-RYT, a Warriors at Ease Certified Teacher bringing the principles of yoga to veterans and active duty military, and a Y12SR Certified Teacher, a framework that connects the ancient wisdom of yoga, the tools of the 12-step program, and the latest research on trauma healing and neurobiology.

Events offered are educational in nature, not therapy, and do not establish a therapeutic relationship with Centerpoint Healing, PLLC, or its facilitators.
